$530K Gets a Duplex Lakeview Loft With an 18' Wall of Windows

New, 3 comments

If there's anything that the future owners of this spacious loft will find to complain about, it definitely won't be the lack of ceiling height. Open plan condos aren't for everyone, but this duplex unit impresses with its 18' tall wall of windows and amount of natural lighting. Of course, the other side of the coin is that privacy could be a concern, but from judging from the photos, the interior of the unit shouldn't be totally visible from street level. The unit is listed as a two bedroom, two and a half bathroom condo, but as one might suspect, the bedrooms are also open plan. The condo is located in what used to be the old Citizens State Bank building at Melrose and Lincoln Avenue. While some of the building's neoclassic architectural details were preserved, the final product is somewhat reminiscent to the mishmash of styles seen at Soldier Field. However, if you've been looking for a spacious, open loft in the neighborhood, then this might be the one for you. It's currently asking $530,000.
