If you're looking for your first condo or home and have been considering the Avondale or Irving Park neighborhoods, guess what? So are a lot of other people. As Wicker Park, Bucktown and Logan Square continue to heat up, more and more folks are beginning to invest in neighborhoods further northwest. And it makes sense. There's a pretty clear trajectory of where development is heading: along the Blue Line and Milwaukee Avenue. This particular unit is on the other side of the neighborhood, and is located near Addison and Elston. But even still, there's been a lot of movement along Diversey and Belmont over the last couple of years. New restaurants and bars are moving in, and the area is looking ripe for even more investment. And at $229,000 for a top floor, two bedroom with plenty of outdoor spaces just shows how accessible the area is. Try finding something like that in Wicker Park or Logan Square for under $300,000. It's not going to happen.
