More corporate branding is coming to Wrigley Field. The team has announced that its iconic marquee at the corner of Clark and Addison will be getting a logo from Toyota. While the face of the marquee is protected under landmark status, the team can place the names of corporate sponsors underneath it. The Ricketts family, who purchased the team six years ago, have been moving forward with numerous updating and construction projects in and around the ballpark. The stadium's bleachers were demolished last winter and the new corporate-badged signage and bleachers opened this summer. More changes are on the way as the team begins work on a new six story building on Waveland. Will all of the updates and new sponsors help the lovable losers make it to a World Series? We'll have to wait and see.
