Another Transit-Oriented Development Coming to Logan Square

New, 24 comments

Developers are hot on Logan Square and according to a new notice, one developer is planning 101 more apartments for the northwest side neighborhood. At the moment, not much is known about the proposal, but according to an Everyblock user, Alderman Proco Joe Moreno will be hosting a meeting at his office on Wednesday, July 15 at 6 p.m. Unfortunately, project specifications and renderings are not listed on the alderman's website or really anywhere else, but the plan proposes 101 rental units, 44 vehicle parking spaces and 44 bicycle parking spaces in the form of a seven-story building at 2835-45 West Belden. The breakdown means that this project is seeking to utilize the city's transit-oriented development ordinance to cut down the number of parking spaces. The property lies along the 'L' tracks near the California Blue Line station and will become yet another major apartment proposal for the neighborhood.
