$699K Gets a Three Bedroom in the Heart of the Gold Coast

New, 5 comments

Living in the heart of the Gold Coast doesn't have to cost a million dollars. It doesn't even have to cost three quarters of a million dollars. For $699,900, you can get yourself a three bedroom, two bathroom unit in the 128-year-old McConnell Apartments building designed by Chicago's Holabird & Roche. While some units in the building are certainly spendy, this one is pretty affordable for Gold Coast standards. The trade-off is that the unit doesn't have particularly great views. It could also stand a new coat of paint in a couple of rooms. Otherwise, with multiple fireplaces, original door frames and pocket doors, it's a pretty nice place.
