Person Meticulously Recreates Chicago in New Video Game

New, 5 comments

While Chicago may not enjoy as many starring roles in video games as it has in film and television, one person has meticulously recreated the Windy City in a new city building game. Somewhat similar to the classic (and original) city builder Sim City, the Swedish-produced Cities: Skylines allows users to extensively modify the game and the individual buildings, leading to some pretty complex and accurate recreations of real cities. According to Reddit user dbFabio, this virtual Chicago which features many of the city's iconic towers took somewhere between 20-30 hours to complete. Sure, it's not an exact replica of Chicago, but it's still impressive to see how far computer graphics have come and what people with free time on their hands can do.
