Another iconic Prairie style home in the Chicago suburbs designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is up for grabs. The Laura Gale House (also known as the Mrs. Thomas H. Gale House) is one of 25 homes in Oak Park designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and just one of a handful of Wright homes to hit the market this month alone. Built in 1909, the five bedroom home is unmistakably Wright's Prairie style and boasts the usual flat roofline, low-hanging ceilings, a stone fireplace and art glass windows. At some point, the home's kitchen was gutted and rebuilt with newer finishes and appliances, but the rest of the home appears to be mostly original. The last time the home entered the market was during the height of the recession, listing for $989,000 in September 2009. It sold the following April for $975,000. This week, the home returns to the market with a $1.1 million asking price. Floor plans can be found here.
