Marvel and its universe of superheroes will be taking over Chicago this summer, bringing its new "Marvel Experience" interactive pop-up theme park to McCormick Place in July. Marvel fans who attend the exhibition will have an opportunity to participate in a two hour role-playing experience where fans become superhero recruits in the Marvel universe. Chicago is no stranger to serving as the backdrop in superhero flicks, most recently acting as both the fictional Metropolis in Superman's world and Gotham City from the Batman franchise. Chicago also played a major role in Transformers: Dark of the Moon from 2011. Called the "world's first hyper-reality tour" by Marvel, the touring superhero experience will kick off July 11 at McCormick Place and wrap up on August 2.
