The Chicago Loop Alliance's placemaking series that transforms small park spaces and alleys into pop-up parties and art events will be returning next month. Starting May 15, the CLA's ACTIVATE series will kick off downtown, offering passersby a chance to check out and briefly fill underutilized spaces in the Loop. Last year, the organization had events at Pritzker Park, the alley next to the Chicago Theater and several other spots. Details for this year's events are still to be determined, but the CLA has its summer dates lined up.
