Remember those weird ads on the CTA that warned readers about the dangers of squirrels? Well the campaign's creator is returning to Kickstarter to raise funds in order to take #SquirrelTruth worldwide. Local comedian Ben Larrison has recently launched a new Kickstarter campaign to raise $5,000 to fill the public transit systems of other major cities with the satirical ads about squirrel "facts."
Previously, Larrison raised $4,000 to launch the Chicago Transit Project, a campaign "to buy ad space in 100 CTA train cars so that I can put ridiculous stuff up in 100 CTA cars, and make our commutes more fun." According to the new Kickstarter, Larson did indeed hit his previous Kickstarter's goal of purchasing ad space for 100 train cars in Chicago. The new fundraiser will end on Friday, May 8, and Larrison has a slew of personalized pranks to reward contributors with.
