Frank Lloyd Wright's J. Kibben Ingalls House isn't the only Wright designed home in suburban River Forest to hit the market this week. After a nearly four-month hiatus, Wright's William Winslow House returned to market yesterday with a $50,000 price bump. It's not uncommon for Wright homes in the Chicago area to spend a lengthy amount of time on the market, and generally the homes take price cuts as the months progress. As one of the nicest (if not the nicest) Frank Lloyd Wright home currently on the market in the Chicago area, the Winslow House's search for a buyer has not been exactly short. It first listed in December 2013 for $2.4 million and then last April, knocked $360K off, bringing it an almost round $2 million. Two price chops later, Wright's first totally independent commission was asking $1.699 million—$700K less than its initial ask. Perhaps emboldened by the rebounding housing market, or with warmer weather approaching, the price on this Wright home has increased to $1.75 million.
