New Cubs Pitcher Jon Lester Just Dropped $3.7M on this Home

New, 8 comments

Newly minted Cubs starting pitcher Jon Lester has officially become a Chicago resident after purchasing a home in the Graceland West neighborhood, Crain's has reported. Built in 2009, the 7,000 square foot home features a limestone exterior with high end finishes inside. The home includes a spiraling staircase, an elevator, a wine cellar, a home gym and plenty of outdoor deck space. The home listed last April for $3.879 million, and Lester closed on the home earlier this month, paying $3.777 million for it — a small fraction of the $155 million deal Lester inked with the Cubs last December.
