A First Look at the New Ellis Park Field House in Oakland

New, 2 comments

Renderings and a newly issued permit have moved a proposed field house in Oakland's Ellis Park, initially announced in late 2013, one step closer to construction. Designed by Booth Hansen, the renderings for the $11 million field house project showcase a series of steel and precast concrete structures with yellow steel ribs arching over a small courtyard.

Set to include eco-conscious features such as a green roof and rain garden, the new buildings will bring a gym, swimming pool and fitness room to the neighborhood, and add another project to Bronzeville's slate of upcoming developments.
