Cornerspotted: The Public Garden at Logan and Milwaukee

Any bar owner would do battle to open up where the Green Star Inn once stood; right at Milwaukee Avenue and Kedzie Avenue, a space currently taken up by the park adjacent to the Logan Square L stop. Whether it was the trolley lines, the Metropolitan Elevated or the L, some form of train transportation has always made that stripof land a busy corner for commuters (it's currently across the street from the Comfort Station). Prized green space in a rapidly developing neighborhood, it seems unlikely the spot will resort to serving drinks anytime soon.
