New, 5 comments

Welcome to Cornerspotter, Curbed's game in which you try to identify the location and/or identity of a particular building or streetscape in a historic photograph. Impress us and your fellow Curbed readers with your uncanny insight into Chicago and its past!

You're currently gazing at the Green Star Inn, a shabby, turn-of-the-century watering hole that like many before it, has disappeared into the ether and foggy memories of neighborhood drinkers long since departed. It likely wasn't anyone's idea of an endpoint, but it probably served as a way station due to it's prime location along rail lines near what's now a bustling intersection. Need a clue? The building behind the Inn may prove telling.
