Another week, another timber loft at 1872 North Clybourn Avenue to look at. This is one of a handful of units at the building to hit the market just in the last few weeks. The thing that makes this one interesting though is the size and price. It's listed as a two bedroom unit, although it's a true open floor plan loft so the bedrooms are exactly private. However, at 1,200 square feet, it is quite roomy and for $300,000, you could be doing much worse. It's technically a duplex loft as it has a second level, but it's more of just a lofted space not a true second floor. The kitchen is dated but actually kind of cool. It almost has a Memphis vibe to it. Some may cry blasphemy, but it'd be cool to paint the cabinets in bright colors and just run with it. Anyways. If the other units in the building aren't your cup of two or out of your price range, this one is definitely more accessible at $300K.
