New, 27 comments

A proposal for a new Lincoln Park hotel will be heading to the Chicago Plan Commission for a vote, Alderman Michele Smith has indicated in an email announcement to constituents. Designed by KOO LLC, the hotel will stand at nine stories tall and feature 143 rooms and parking for 75 vehicles. In addition, the develop will also include about 10,000 square feet of ground level retail space. One of the major holdups was regarding parking and traffic, and according to Ald. Smith, the developers will incorporate an "extended parkway" that will help direct traffic north on Lehmann Court. The plan will of course mean the demolition of the old 74-room Inn at Lincoln Park. The new proposal will meet with the Plan Commission a week from today.
