More Rentals and Retail Proposed for Booming Logan Square

New, 32 comments

Hundreds of new apartment units are already on their way to the Logan Square neighborhood, but a developer has put forth a new plan that would bring even more new rentals and retail space to the booming neighborhood. Eco Development is looking to build a long four story mixed-user that will take over the block at 2701 Armitage Ave., DNAinfo reports. Designed by Hanna Architects, a firm that has worked on numerous projects in the Logan Square area, the project is proposing 59 apartment units, 10,000 square feet of ground level retail space and 80 parking spots. The project falls in the jurisdiction of the West Bucktown Neighborhood Association, an organization that has earned a reputation for being friendly to developers and plans for new rentals on Armitage Avenue. The developer will present the plan this evening at the new 1st Ward office (2740B W. North Ave.) at 6:00 p.m. More project details and elevations can be viewed at the West Bucktown Neighborhood Association's website.
