A new 17-story residential tower is looking to join the bustling East Lakeview neighborhood. Developer Chioros Properties, Inc. is proposing to build a 95-unit tower at 450-454 W. Belmont Avenue, which would replace two existing multi-unit brick properties. Designed by Antunovich Associates, the plan appears to be residential only and does not include any ground level retail spaces. Instead, the first few floors will be dedicated to parking for 52 vehicles. A rooftop green roof and amenity space will sit atop the building on the 17th floor. Each floor will contain seven residences, ranging from studios to two bedroom units. While the meeting notice from Ald. Tom Tunney's office doesn't explicitly indicate whether the units will be rentals or condos, it's very likely that the plan will be for apartments. A meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 19 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Academy to discuss the proposal.
