Infill Coming to Vacant Stretch of North Avenue in Wicker Park

Some good old fashioned infill is on the way to North Avenue, which will bridge a gap that has been on the street for years. A reader has sent in a few photos and tells us that construction has started on a development at 2341-2347 W. North Avenue. It appears that the original permit for the project was first issued back in 2009, but the developers have posted up a reprint of the original permit along with a new one that was issued just in September. If the developer is still going with the plan listed in the permit (which we would assume at this point), a few new condos and ground floor retail space is coming to the little stretch. Anyways, nothing too major, but some infill near Western and North avenues can only be a good thing.
