January in Chicago means frigid temperatures, lots of snow and neighborhood battles over street parking. And when the snow comes down, many of the city's streets are off limits for parking. But say you need to make a trip somewhere and you're not sure if the major streets near you have been plowed or not. There's no need to worry, the city has a new web tool that tracks its small army of snow plows in real time. But don't expect residential streets to get plowed right away — the plows' first priority are clearing major roads and Lake Shore Drive.
