Perfectly Preserved Oak Park Victorian Lists for $1.2M

New, 6 comments

Besides its brand new kitchen, this ornate Queen Anne style home from the 1890s looks like it has been untouched since it was built. According to the listing, the home was built for William J. MacDonald, a politician from Michigan who spent his later years in the Chicago area. One thing that is particularly spectacular is that the home still sports its original murals and stenciling. There's also some original art glass and heaps of awesome millwork. The home includes a four car attached garage and is located just around the corner from Frank Lloyd Wright's old home and studio on Chicago Avenue. Pick up this piece of architectural history for $1.2 million.
