Construction on the new tower coming to 200 N. Michigan Avenue has been in full swing for the last few months, and by now the foundation has been completed and the first few floors are going up. Andy Krakos, whose office is located directly across the street, has been taking still photographs of the construction site everyday for the last four months and has pieced all of the individual photos together to create this fascinating time lapse of the building's construction. Early last year, a reader had also captured the demolition of the building that previously occupied the site, creating a time lapse video that shows its complete demolition in under four minutes. The bKL-designed tower still has a long way to go, but its construction is being well documented.
