Here's your chance to get a peek inside one of Frank Lloyd Wright's seminal works as the Isidore H. Heller House in Hyde Park will be hosting an open house this Sunday from 12pm-2pm. Built in 1897, the home with its straight lines, flat roof, overhanging eaves and integration into the surrounding environment, was one of Wright's first forays into what would later be known as Prairie style architecture. However, as of late, the home has been languishing on the market for over three years. It's not uncommon for Wright-designed homes to spend a lengthy amount of time on the market, however at $2.425 million, this home is the most expensive Wright house on the market in the Chicagoland area, potentially adding to the list of reasons why buyers might be holding back. An indecisive buyer might change their mind though after meeting the home in person.
