Medical Center Coming to Vacant Stretch of Milwaukee Avenue

New, 15 comments

Just a couple of days after DNAinfo reported on a possible deal between Northwestern Memorial Hospital and developer Smithfield Properties to bring a new medical center to a empty stretch near 1776 N Milwaukee Avenue, the city issued a building permit to erect a medical facility at the site. The permit allows the construction of the foundation and shell for a one story, type 1C medical office building, with an estimated cost of $2.85 million to build. No word yet on exactly what specific services will be offered at the facility, however the previous DNAinfo report confirmed that there would be primary care services offered at the new center.
