This weekend, Avondale residents will be hosting their annual A Day in Avondale art walk. The event highlights local businesses and artists, and is designed to bring neighborhood residents together, but also acts as an opportunity for folks across the city to spend a day in the northwest side neighborhood to learn more about it. On Saturday, September 27, the stretch of Milwaukee Avenue from Kimball and Diversey to Central Park will be transformed into an open space featuring pop-up art galleries, live music and food vendors. The multicultural neighborhood lies directly northwest of booming Logan Square, and similar to its nearby neighbor, has known for its diverse population and lower cost of living. The event is free to attend and will start at 11am.
