It's been a minute since we last ventured over to 845 N State Street to check in on the construction of the new Loyola Quinlan School of Business and the 35 story rental tower from Newcastle Limited. Progress is coming along on the new development, as the Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB) designed tower simply dubbed State & Chestnut is about half way to its final height. Its shorter neighbor is also taking shape, with its foundation completed and the steel skeleton beginning to appear. Once completed, the tall glassy apartment tower will add 367 rental units and 3,200 square feet of ground level retail to the already popular Gold Coast neighborhood. No word just yet on a delivery date, however the project is expected to wrap up next year.
