A former industrial warehouse and manufacturing complex at 401 N. Morgan St. that has been undergoing a conversion into a retail and commercial development is on schedule to open next month, according to DNAinfo. Originally announced in February, the the 88,000 square foot former home of Salisbury by Honeywell has been dubbed Morgan Manufacturing, and will host high tech office space and a 32,000 square foot so-called "innovation lab" that will become the new home to the Chicago Innovation Awards' Innovators Connection. The adaptive reuse effort set developer Marc Bushala back $19 million, but once open, Morgan Manufacturing will soon join the slew of industrial-facilites-turned-office-space located throughout the greater Near West Side.
