Nicholas Pritzker, the billionaire boss of Hyatt Development Corp. and member of Chicago's influential Pritzker clan, has sold his 7,900 square foot Gold Coast mansion for $7.4 million. Pritzker, whose net worth is estimated to be $1.4 billion, listed the seven bedroom, five and a half bathroom home in March at $9.995 million. According to the Tribune's Bob Goldsborough, Pritzker purchased the Georgian-esque mansion back in 1985. The home's sale ties the record for the priciest sale of 2014 with a 5,700 square foot co-op unit at 209 East Lake Shore Drive that sold last month for the same $7.4 million figure. Unfortunately, no interior shots of the home are listed anywhere across the MLS network, but we do know that the mansion sports four fireplaces, a library, a sizable rooftop deck, and separate staff quarters. With four and half months left in the year, time is ticking away for contenders for the priciest home sale of 2014.
