Division Street Checkered-Glass Tower Is Raring To Go

New, 4 comments

The area directly adjacent to and surrounding the former Cabrini-Green site continues to develop, and now an 18 story 240 unit apartment tower will be coming to Division Street. Initial plans to build the checkered-glass tower across the street from the new Target were floated just over a year ago, and now Crain's has reported that the developer, Gerding Edlen, has secured $45 million to get the project off the ground. Previous reports suggested that the tower will be looking to receive a LEED Gold certification and a mid-2015 delivery. The former Cabrini-Green site has been a hotbed for development activity, and several other towers in the pipeline are looking to get in on the action.
