A developer has recently purchased a string of buildings between 3351-3361 N. Lincoln Ave. in Lakeview, and plans to redevelop the stretch with new retail storefronts. According to Crain's, the plan is to demo all of the buildings except one (don't worry, Dinkel's Bakery is safe). Located just a short walk from the Paulina Brown Line station, the development is set to create over 21,000 square feet of new retail space for the popular western end of Lakeview. No word yet on when the project is set to move forward with demolition, however, the plan does appear to be a done deal. Expect to see even more yoga pants and strollers on Lincoln Avenue once the new retail has been completed.
