The 5 Priciest Single Family Homes in Andersonville Right Now

New, 8 comments

Andersonville is one of the North Side's most charming neighborhoods and has a solid inventory of single family homes. Wedged in between Rosehill Cemetery and Lake Michigan, the neighborhood is known for being a destination for foodies, beer snobs and shoppers. Though the neighborhood is located on the far north side of the city, it still has a dense urban feel to it and is just a quick train ride to downtown. Home prices vary in the neighborhood, as prices for the five most expensive single family homes range from $899K all the way up to $2.375 million. However, for the money, you can get a lot of home, and even a lot of yard in this neighborhood. Let's get started.

↑ 1717 W Winona St
Asking price: $899,500
Size: 4 bed, 3.5 bath
The skinny: This brick two flat was converted into a single family home at some point, and has been totally updated. The home was listed in March at $925K but received a small price chop when it was relisted in May.

↑ 1668 W Bryn Mawr Ave
Asking price: $1.185 million
Size: 5 bed, 4.5 bath
The skinny: This classic Chicago greystone was recently completely gutted and now sports all new everything. The home has a subtle contemporary feel inside, but nothing over the top. It also includes a brand new two car garage with a roof deck on top.

↑ 5507 N Wayne Ave
Asking price: $1.399 million
Size: 4 bed, 3.5 bath
The skinny: Located just a couple of blocks from the Bryn Mawr Red Line station, this single family Arts & Crafts home is a prime example of homes that fall within the Lakewood Balmoral Historic District. Though the home has some of its original historic charm, major parts of it have been updated over the years. It does however sport a lot of its original millwork and even some original stained glass.

↑ 5354 N Paulina Street
Asking price: $1.699 million
Size: 4 bed, 3.5 bath
The skinny: Similar to some of the other homes on the list, this old home has received an extreme makeover. Originally built in 1883, this farmhouse is completely new on the inside and has some contemporary touches. It is located on a corner lot and comes along with a large yard.

↑ 5820 N Paulina Street
Asking price: $2.375 million
Size: 6 bed, 8 bath
The skinny: At $2.375 million, this large home is currently the most expensive for sale in Andersonville. Built in 2007, the nearly 10,000 square foot home comes fully loaded. And though it's located on a quiet street, has a home theater, a huge yard and an outdoor fireplace, this home has been on and off the market for over a year without any bites. ·Previous Top 5 posts [Curbed Chicago]
