Time Lapse Shows Illustrator Drawing a Classic Chicago Greystone

New, 1 comment

When most people think of Chicago architecture, the tall downtown skyscrapers immediately come to mind. However, Chicago's residential architecture should not be discounted. Throughout many of the city's neighborhoods, turn of the century greystone single family homes and flats line the main stretches along parks and green spaces. Phil Thompson of Cape Horn Illustration has been drawing Chicago homes for years now, and has recently uploaded this video to Youtube that shows him spending six hours on one his illustrations. Thankfully, the whole thing is compressed down to just under two minutes, depicting a rather fascinating (and meticulous) time lapse.
