With the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art coming to Chicago, pending a drawn out legal battle, it's time to put our imagination caps on and start thinking about what the 17 acres of parking lot at Soldier Field may one day look like. Considering that San Francisco rejected three of Lucas' proposals for the protected Presidio area, it's likely that the museum will be totally redesigned for its new home in Chicago. ViaTechnik, a local CAD drafting and construction engineering firm decided to hold their own unofficial design contest and received submissions from around the world. The winning designs are certainly a bit far out and spacey, but isn't that what design contests are for?
