The Bucktown Mariano's at 2112 N. Ashland Ave. opened its doors bright and early this morning to the masses of Chicagoans itching for the dulcet tones of piano while sipping their kombucha. The newest spot — the chain's 23rd — serves up a vegan grill, VEG'D, and kombucha on tap, as well as the requisite gelato shop, wine bar, pharmacy and mind-boggling amounts of olive oil. The Bucktown (or Lincoln Park if you will) Mariano's also has a "Sweet Shoppe" (think caramel apples and flavored popcorn) and will eventually open a tea bar. At 80,033 square feet, it's second in size only to the Ravenswood location, the Tribune reports. After the city Dominick's locations shuttered, Mariano's locations are projected to rise from its 13 in 2013 to 29 by the end of this year.
