In February, the old Standard Brewery tie house in Humboldt Park hit the city's 2014 Demolition Delay Hold List, which provides historic buildings a 90 day waiting period before a demolition permit is issued, and now its time is almost up. Similar to the Schlitz tie houses on the North Side, the Standard Brewery saloon was built by Standard and only offered one brand of beer until it was closed in 1923.
