Here It Is: The Full Proposal For River North's "The Hudson"

New, 24 comments

River North may be getting a few new apartment towers in the near future, but will it finally be getting a new condo tower? A couple of weeks ago, Onni Group's plan to build a tower at 750 N. Hudson was first revealed, and then last week, the developer presented its complete proposal to River North residents. The proposal, which reveals renderings, floorplans, a traffic study and landscape details, shows that the tower was initially conceived as and designed to be condominiums, however at the public meeting, the developer stated that the 240 units may be rentals. According to the proposal, the tower will boast roughly 10,000 square feet of ground level retail, and as far as residential offerings go, the tower will contain mostly one and two bedroom units ranging from 640 square feet to 1,100 square feet. The site at 750 N. Hudson has had a long history of possible developments, and in 2012, Onni Group purchased the site. At this point, it's a bit of a waiting game to find out whether the developer will proceed with the plan as rentals or condominiums, but we will continue following its progress.
