Celebrate Chicago's Parks With One Of These Lovely Prints

It's finally nearing summertime in Chicago, and that means spending lots of time outside in the city's parks. And to celebrate the upcoming summer season and Chicago's great outdoor spaces, local artist Steve Shanabruch has created new prints featuring Chicago parks as a part of his ongoing Chicago Neighborhoods project. Originally conceived two and a half years ago, Shanabruch started The Chicago Neighborhoods project by creating black and white, retro-esque logos of the city's 77 community areas. The new images of the city's parks offer a beautiful and somewhat nostalgic take of the typical poster art of Chicago normally spotted at print shops. So far, Shanabruch has a dozen designs crafted for Chicago's parks. To see them all, head on over to The Chicago Neighborhoods to see if your neighborhood park is featured.
