Full Steam Ahead On Apartment Tower Near Cabrini-Green Site

New, 8 comments

A new apartment tower planned near the former Cabrini Green site was approved yesterday by the Chicago Plan Commission. The $140 million development at the southwest corner of Chestnut and Orleans streets will include 310 apartments and 170 parking spaces. Originally planned to stand at 31 stories tall, the Pappageorge / Haymes tower has been drop down to a slightly shorter 29 stories. The developer, an affiliate of Fifield Companies plans on pushing through the permit process in the coming months and hopes to begin construction by the beginning of next year. River North has several apartment towers in the pipeline at the moment, and it appears that developers won't stop building any time soon. ·Developer Wants New Apartments Near Old Cabrini Site [Curbed Chicago]
