Half Acre Eyes Bowmanville For New Brewery And Beer Garden

New, 20 comments

Half Acre Beer Company unveiled its plan to move the majority of its operations to a vacant 60,000 square foot industrial facility in the Bowmanville neighborhood to a community group on Tuesday evening, and so far residents are liking what they see. The North Center-based beer company seeks to expand brewing operations, and if all goes according to plan, the new facility would not only beef up beer production, but it would also feature a new home office, a tap room with food offerings and a large outdoor patio. Half Acre reps revealed the plan to residents in the area as a part of the company's request for a zoning change of the former Duray Fluorescent building at 2050 W. Balmoral Ave. Half Acre expects to begin beer production at the new site later this year.
