Restaurateur Jerry Kleiner Relists Home For The Third Time

New, 5 comments

If at first you don't succeed, try, try again. Or so they say. How about in the case of listing a home for sale? Third time's the charm, right? Well in this case, restauranteur Jerry Kleiner of Carnivale, Gioco and Park 52 fame certainly hopes so. Kleiner's 9,400 square foot West Town home was listed last week not for the first, nor the second, but the third time in the last three years. The colorful and eccentric home which somewhat resembles a mini golf course sports brightly colored rooms, and includes a large private yard with a putting green. And no chef's home can go without a super slick kitchen, complete with fancy appliances and checkered floor tiles that looks like something from Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Back in April 2011 when the home was originally listed, Kleiner was looking for $2.9 million in exchange for the spacious house. When the home was relisted in September 2012, the ask was dropped by a quarter million bucks to $2.675 million. However, now that the housing market has been on a steady recovery, the restauranuer who now owns and operates a latin themed restaurant in Downers Grove is seeking a buyer who will shell out $2.795 million for the four bedroom, two and a half bathroom West Town pad.
