Proposed Gold Coast Tower Preliminary Drawings Revealed

New, 27 comments

Just hours after a new plan for a 33 story apartment tower for the Gold Coast was first announced, we now have an idea of what this building might eventually look like. Ryan Companies and Lincoln Property Company will be working with Antunovich Associates on the design of the new tower. The preliminary drawings show a structure with an exterior made up of mix of glass, steel and concrete. Topping off at 380 feet, the building will easily tower over its next door neighbors near the southeast corner of Clark and Chestnut streets. Because the tower would require a zoning change, Alderman Bob Fioretti has stated that nothing will be approved until area residents have had to opportunity to discuss the plan over a series of community meetings.
