Frank Lloyd Wright's Iconic Winslow House Takes Sizable First Price Chop

New, 3 comments

Last December when River Forest's William Winslow House hit the market, Wrightophiles could not contain their excitement, however the iconic home noted for being Frank Lloyd Wright's first independent commission has just taken a sizable price chop of $360K, or 15% of its original ask of $2.4 million. The 5,000 square foot landmark home built in 1893 demonstrates Wright's fondness for straight lines and arches, however it is not representative of the full-on Prairie Style that Wright would later become famous for. If FLW fans were not already tempted before, they certainly should be now that the home boasts a newer, lower ask of $2.04 million.
