Effective tomorrow, CTA passengers will no longer be able to buy new magnetic stripe fare cards or autoload/reload their Chicago Card/Chicago Card Plus farecards. On June 1, customers will no longer be able to reload magnetic stripe cards or use Chicago Card/Chicago Card Plus farecards. The CTA and Pace plan to complete the transition to Ventra on July 1.
