The new apartment tower being constructed at 212 W Illinois is making some real progress, and beginning to climb above its neighbors. A former casualty of the real estate crisis of the aughts, this particular River North apartment tower was in development hell for nearly six years before construction began last autumn. Once completed, the new Hartshorne Plunkard designed tower will contain 188 residences and 176 parking spaces.
