In an effort to attract higher profile stadium events, the Chicago Park District is entertaining the idea of expanding Soldier Field to seat another 5,000 people. Mayor Emanuel wants to bid for the Super Bowl, and feature other athletic events to boost the total revenue of the neoclassical-spaceship-looking stadium. The city says its too early to talk costs, instead it is time to explore the idea of expansion. [Sun-Times]
