Frank Lloyd Wright's George Furbeck House Finally Sells

New, 3 comments

After several years of going on and off the market, the Frank Lloyd Wright designed George Furbeck House in Oak Park has been sold. The home was initially listed in May 2010 for $1.1 million, but was removed that September. It was relisted the following April for $799,900 but removed the next month. Finally, in January 2013, the homeowner said enough with the waffling and listed the home for $949,000. It received three price chops over the summer and has finally sold this week for $650,000. The home was built in 1897 in the Prairie architectural style that Wright became famous for. Oak Park gave the home landmark status in 2002.
