Although the Fulton Market Cold Storage building's makeover is far from finished, the building's rebirth as 1K Fulton and the future home to Google's Chicago HQ is well on its way. Yesterday Curbed stopped by the 535,000 square foot development to see how things are coming along, and the site was buzzing with activity from construction crews. Developer Sterling Bay is hoping to make waves in the West Loop, bringing in high tech office space and making a number of other recent high profile purchases in the area. Once completed, the repurposed cold storage building will be a high tech, LEED-certified office space with a ground level restaurant for good company.
