Is This New Residential Building In The South Loop's Future?

New, 11 comments

The South Loop might be getting a brand spankin' new residential tower - is this it? The Chicago Architecture Blog reports that the rendering of this 29 story tower could find a home at 1000 South Clark Street. Rumor has it that the building is expected to contain roughly 400 units, and whether they will be apartments or condos is not yet known. It is also reported that the developer already has the permit in hand to build a residential project at the site, as this plan is a second iteration of a previous proposal to build a tower with 600 units that was scrapped back in 2008.

Have any more info or renderings about this project? Our tip line is open 24/7.
