The bKL Architecture designed GEMS World Academy Chicago's Lower School is showing some signs of life, as construction is nearing completion on the first phase of the planned school. The GEMS World Academy will feature a lower and upper school, basically one being the K-5 building and the other 6-12. The elite private school has locations in cities throughout the world and its entry in Chicago is expected to enroll about 2,000 children at a steep $6,000 to $25,000 per year. Check out the renderings for the Upper School here.
